“Just the Facts Ma’am”: Change in Consumer Spending

So what is going on? That’s what this series is about and let’s get right into it; as Joe Friday said, “Just the Facts Ma’am”.

Consumer spending is also close to where we were at the beginning of the year. Most states are now within 10% of where we were in January; the country as a whole is within 3.7% of our spending in January. Regardless of who is our president moving forward, we can safely assume that there will be an additional stimulus package which in turn will stimulate spending (debt relief and savings as well) across the board.
